SBIC Code of Business Ethics and Conduct

Environment, Health, and Safety
Keys to Compliance We are committed to be an environmentally responsible organization, and to provide a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and the public due to our concern for the individual. Insurance Services must comply with federal, state and local laws and regulations, not only because failure to do so can result in substantial penalties and heavy fines for the Company and fines and imprisonment for employees responsible for violations, but because it is our social responsibility and our commitment to being a responsible member of the community.
Know the law

We have an obligation to learn and comply with all environmental and occupational health and safety laws and regulations applicable to our work. If you are uncertain about laws and regulations concerning your job, contact your manager or Human Resources.

Handle hazardous materials properly

The handling, storage, manufacture, transportation, and disposal of any hazardous material or waste must meet all applicable legal requirements. Failure to do so can pose serious harm to employees, the community, and the environment, and can have serious civil and criminal consequences that may damage our reputation and business.
